Understanding Ourselves

Inspired by reading a book by Johnathan Sacks, someone i know wrote the following " I think choices are only meaningful when one is free, where it then becomes a choice of morality; when one is not free, it's merely a choice in the sense of appearance. I think just like our eyes are free to see only a restricted view, so too are we free to will a restricted range of options; and just like our eyes can be squinted or shut, so too can our freedom be diminished or stumped, voluntarily or involuntarily.
